An Eid is a Muslim religious festival. Eid is a festival of happiness for Muslims all around the World. There are two eid's in a calendar year.
1.) Eid-ul-Fitr (Feast of Breaking the Fast)
2.) Eid-ul-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice)
1.) Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated on the 1st of Shawal after the Holy month of Ramadan. It marks the end of the month of Ramadan. Eid-ul-Fitr 2019 was celebrated on 7 July 2019. It is a gift from God to His loyal Muslims who stayed away from all the sins in Ramadan, killed their thirst just for the Sake of God.Muslims practice fast in the morning. Muslims are not allowed to practice Fast on the 1st of Shawal. This is the only day in the whole year where fast is forbidden.
Muslims practice fast in the morning and evening and offer Tarawi at night during the whole month of Ramadan. Muslims do not Drink or Eat during Fast.
So far handling these difficulties in Ramadan Allah gave a gift to Muslims in the shape of Eid. It is a reward for their resilience.
Different activities on Eid-ul-Fitr:
1.) Offering prayer:
A special prayer is offered in Eid al-Fitr. Muslims greet after offering Eid prayer and wish each other Happy Eid.
2.) Collecting Eidi:
When the older ones arrive at home after the prayer children take Eidi from their elders and Relatives. This is also called as Eid for kids.
3.) Visting Relatives:
Muslims visit their relatives after they are finished giving Eidi to the children. Relatives invite each other to dinners and lunch.
4.) Visiting Parks:
Families visit parks on these three days of Eid which is a national Holiday. There is no public place in Pakistan on Eid 2019 that is not full of people. People don't have a place to put their feet on. Every picnic place and every park is packed with people.
5.)Traffic Problems:
people also face many difficulties due to heavy traffic jams in tourist spots like Murree, Islamabad, Kashmir, Neelum Valley, Naran Kaghanetc.
2.) Eid-ul-Adha it is celebrated on the 10th of Zil-Haj as a Key Feature of Haj The Fifth pillar of Islam.falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah and lasts for four days until the 13th day. Muslims from all over the world fly to Saudia Arabia to Offer Haj. Millions of Hajis from all across the world are gathered under one ceiling and prove that superiority lies not in color, creed, cast or race, etc but the character of the Person. It is celebrated as the Feast of the Sacrifice.Slaughtering of Animals:
People slaughter different animals like cows, goats, lambs, and Camels, etc on the 10th,11th,12th of Zil-Haj. After slaughtering the animals the meat is then distributed between relatives and poors.
